Two people write this site. Both are named, both have a stated beat and a stated method, and neither is a clinician or a child passenger safety technician. Where a question belongs to one of those, the guides say so and point you at them.

Editor, gear and the arithmetic of a small home

Marisa Okonkwo edits Little Nest and writes the hardware half of it: strollers, car seats, carriers and the furniture around them. She reads the specification sheet, the fit list and the returns policy in full before she reads a single review, because the difference between two apparently identical strollers is almost always a number one of them declines to publish.

Dan Whitfield

Writer, standards and the recall record

Dan Whitfield writes the standards side of Little Nest: what a certification actually covers, what the CPSC recall database says about a brand, and what the one-star reviews agree on six months in. He is not a clinician and does not write as one. His job is to read the standard rather than the marketing page, quote the real number, and name the limit the packaging skipped.
